The 2025 Winter anime season has begun, and more than a month has passed already. TV anime series aren’t just about the main story; their theme songs, which help capture the world of the work, are also a major attraction. This season features a diverse lineup of songs, but which ones truly captured viewers’ hearts?
To find out, Anime! Anime! conducted a reader survey titled “Which 2025 Spring Anime ED Theme Song Do You Like?” The survey ran from May 6th to May 9th and received responses from 115 people. The gender ratio was about 70% male and 30% female, with a higher proportion of male respondents. Regarding age groups, about 25% were 19 or younger, while those in their 20s and 30s each accounted for roughly 20%.
In this article, we’ll be announcing the results for the ED theme songs.

■1st Place is the Same Anime That Was Popular for Its OP!
1st Place
1st place goes to 『Ninja to Koroshiya no Futarigurashi』, receiving approximately 13% of the votes.
The ED theme for this series is “Ninkoro Dance” by HoneyWorks feat. Hakoniwa Lilly. Readers praised how enjoyable the ending is until the very last moment, with comments like, “Starting with ‘Yaai Dame Ninja’ which teases the protagonist Satoko, the beginning is fun, and the melody is catchy and approachable. It’s an ending that perfectly fits the atmosphere of the main story, making you want to watch again next week,” and “The unique character dance by the SD characters is memorable, and the choreography is easy to learn and copy. The playful touch of the ED animation changing slightly each week is also a welcome surprise.” Following its success in the OP theme poll, it also took the top spot for ED themes.
2nd Place
2nd place is 『Kusuriya no Hitorigoto』, with approximately 10% of the votes.
The ED theme for the second cour of Season 2 is “Hitorigoto” by Omoinotake. Comments received indicated it’s a suitable song to let the lingering emotions of the episode sink in, such as “The gentle melody fitting for an ED theme and the calm, soothing singing voice let you really soak in the aftermath of the main story,” and “The lyrics nostalgic for the past resonate with how I feel right now and are healing.” The ED theme, which focuses on the protagonist Maomao and Xiaolan and Zisui, who work in the imperial court, also garnered popularity.
3rd Place
3rd place is 『Kidou Senshi Gundam GQuuuuuuX』, with approximately 8% of the votes.
The ED theme for this series is “Mou Dou Natte mo Ii ya” by Hoshi Machi Suisei. The ED animation, which depicts the daily lives of the protagonist Mach and Nyaan using a fixed camera perspective, was highly rated. Voices praised the sense of realism, saying things like, “The animation following their laid-back daily life is cute and the best!” and “The messy room feels realistic and relatable.” The song itself was also well-received. Some readers even mentioned they started watching Gundam with 『Gundam GQuuuuuuX』 because they were fans of the artist Hoshi Machi Suisei.
■Introducing Other Comments!
For 『Summer Pockets』 by Suzuki Konomi, “Lasting Moment,” one comment noted, “In contrast to the OP theme which conveys the heat and freshness of summer, the ED is a nostalgic track where you can almost hear the sound of rain. The relaxed melody expresses sadness, and I was also drawn to the characters’ serious expressions.”
Regarding 『Kuroshitsuji -Midori no Majo Hen-』 by Ryuuguujou, “WALTZ,” a reader commented, “It was produced by Abuchan from Ziyoou-batchi, and the handclaps and tap sounds create a sense of immersion, as if you’re watching a stage play. It had an impact like a whole other story began after the main episode ended.”
For 『Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryoushu!』 by Fujisaki Nagi, “Nantonaku,” a fan shared, “This song is packed with the cuteness of the main heroine Amagi! In the main story, she doesn’t show much emotion, but in the ED animation, she cries, laughs, and puffs out her cheeks, showing all sorts of expressions. I was completely captured by this gap!!”
And for 『Uma Musume Cinderella Grey』 by Oguri Cap (CV. Takanagi Tomoyo), “∞,” a reader found the lyrics impactful, saying, “The lyric ‘Kore shika dekiru’ (This is all I can do), which is grammatically unnatural in Japanese, was intentionally used and is very striking. It directly conveys the joy that Oguri, who was born with a weak body and couldn’t even stand at first, can now run as she pleases.” Votes were cast for a variety of titles.
The ED theme rankings saw the same titles in the top 3 as the OP theme rankings. This result reaffirms that the season features a wide range of genres, including action, sci-fi, comedy, and mystery. Don’t miss the top 20 on the next page!
